...of the One
Series


We are all One. 

As an artist and storyteller, I want to bring the viewer into awareness of this 
ancient philosophy and way of life. From the same source with the same make-up, in our most 
fundamental form, we are all made of energy. The exact same energy that is found in plants, 
animals and the entire cosmos exists in us.

...Of the One is a journey into the beautiful world of nature. On daily walks and meditations I 
became enraptured with the harmony in natures co-habitants, the colours and the peace that it 
exudes. We are of nature just as we are of the One.

Found objects from nature spaces: parks, gardens, lakes, are used as silhouetted figures. With 
this series I've replaced the conventional paintbrush with twigs, branches, nuts, leaves and 
anything else I find outside. 

...Of the One has arisen from the creative source without calculated foundations. I am very much 
an experimental painter and this series has given me the freedom I was hungry for. With 
pre-mediated paintings the magical moment of stepping back from a work when it feels right is 
lost. That 'knowing' is the moment I love and that is the reason I paint.
